Whilst the friendship between the two is completely adorable, I can see the possibility that something else could develop if given the correct matters - though of course, I am not entirely sure from Harry’s point of view since I am not sure what sort of relationship he could see with her, but from my Hermione’s perspective, it’s all in the reading of the tea leaves. Harry Potter, is after all, one of her two best friends. They have been through hell and back - quite literally - and to say absolutely no feelings at all has developed would be a lie. Canonically speaking, I could see her ending up with either of the two and she would be happy. Harry makes her feel safe, in a way. To me, I feel as though she’s protective over him which rightfully earned her that ‘sister’-like position, but like I have said, I wouldn’t close myself off to the possibility that there could be more. It’s honestly up to how it is written.
