I must become a lion hearted girl, ready for fight before I make the final sacrifice. Here I am, a rabbit hearted girl, frozen in the headlights. It seems I've made the final sacrifice.
“An’ yeah, I think I do. I mean, I do. But…’m quite shite at explaining things.”
Stop swearing, Lou Ellen. It’s unbecoming. Her half brother Alabaster taught her well but this does not mean she’d to take over his habits as well, right?
“Are ya aware o’ wha’ it is?” She smiled before she became aware of the question she’d just deflected and shrunk a bit, “—Sorry.”
She gave the girl a look when she asked if she knew what the ingredient was. Not sure if she was joking or not, Hermione answered with confidence. ”Of course I do. First and foremost, it is an ingredient used in potion-making. It’s color is yellow and typically it is used in healing sorts of potions.“ She pursed her lips, pushing her notes toward her. She couldn’t help but notice that she did not seem to be as serious about studying as she. "If you are simply going to fool around while I am trying to teach, then perhaps it is best that you try to study on your own time.”
“—I know,” She uttered. “I’ve been told yer the smartest person in our House.” Hence why she came to the bushy haired girl. Lou Ellen sat down and fumbled with her bag as she fished out her notes. She cleared her throat once more before pointing out where she got stuck. “Righ’ here. Between the Goosegrass an’ the Ger…Germander?”
The blonde paused for a bit. “—I did study, I promise!”
“I wouldn’t claim that I am the smartest. I, however, have studied each and every course – all the books, I have read at least ten times and there is not a plant I cannot name. I have heard that Neville is quite interested in Herbology, but I can assure you that I am the best when it comes to tutoring another.”
If there was one thing she was confident in, it was her studying habits. She could study for hours at a time, finding herself completely lost in the materials because of the way they would sweep her up– honestly, learning that she was a witch has only done her good. She raised her brows at the female. “You are aware of what Goosegrass is, right?”
Never had she expected she actually needed help with studying. The Herbology exam was coming up, and Lou was still, still, still messing up the names.
So the little lion hesitantly took a few steps towards the brightest person in their House: Hermione something-or-the-other Granger. (Lou did not know her second name.)
“Erm, ‘scuse me, but…would ya…do—can ya help me?” She cleared her throat. “I mean—we have an exam soon. An’…I really could use the help.”
Pause.
“I’m Lou Ellen, by the by.” She rambles a lot, too.
When she was approached regarding schoolwork, the young girl was more than happy to comply. She was always up for teaching other fellow students on what she knew, and felt rather proud of herself whenever she could be of use. She patted the seat beside her and then reached into her bag, pulling out her notes for herbology.
“Hello Lou Ellen. I’m Hermione Granger and I would be more than pleased to help you with your schoolwork.” She then grabbed a quill along with a fresh piece of parchment, both set on the table in front. “Now, where exactly are you stuck?”
